About

Being a Friend

One of the easiest ways you can support Oundle Library is by being a Friend. It’s free to join and you’ll receive our newsletter, which is a great way to keep in touch with what’s happening at the library.

Friends of Oundle Library (FOOL) exists to represent the customers of Oundle Library and make sure Northamptonshire's Library Service hears the ideas and opinions of local residents.

Perhaps more importantly, having a thriving Friends group is a powerful demonstration that Oundle loves its library and will fight to protect it.

So, if you love having a library in Oundle please become a Friend! To join us click HERE.

Our committee
Friends of Oundle Library was formally constituted in 2011 and we have a committee which works to raise funds and awareness.

Our committee works closely with library staff to contribute ideas for events and activities, and we run our own events. All the money we raise goes towards improving the facilities at Oundle Library.

The officers elected at our AGM in March 2019 are:
Chair: (Rotating)
Secretary: Charlotte Williams
Minutes Secretary: HIlary Hoyle
Treasurer: Tony Hoyle

Other committee members are:
Jennifer Anderson, Ann Guy, Sue Hales, Caroline Kisby, Angela Leakey, Kay Rothnie, Jenny Smith.

Our Supporters
We also have a Supporters Group – Friends who give us help when they can. This might be helping with events at the library or raising money. Supporters decide how much time they can offer but their assistance is absolutely invaluable. The committee keeps in touch with Supporters so they know what is being planned.
