Outdoor Circuit Class

Take the notion of fresh air and exercise in a new direction

Whatever your age or level of fitness, you can have a tailored workout at the Outdoor Circuit class that’s held in Oundle Library’s garden every Friday morning.

Recent studies show that regular exercise outdoors has added benefits for health and wellbeing. Many people appreciate the sense of space and fresh air, and exposure to nature helps to reduce stress and mental fatigue. It certainly beats looking at a screen during a gym session!

As exercising outdoors is becoming more popular the number of outdoor gyms is increasing, and there’s an outdoor gym in the garden at Oundle Library available for public use (adults only). It contains three pieces of resistance and cardio-vascular equipment which were purchased by the Friends of Oundle Library with the help of a grant from Northamptonshire Community Fund.

In addition, every Friday morning from 10-11am there’s the Outdoor Circuit Class which is run by a personal trainer from Embrace Fitness. You can enjoy a tailored workout, planned to suit your individual fitness levels and exercise goals. So, whether you’re getting fit for a skiing holiday, recovering from an illness or surgery, or just wanting to improve your general fitness levels, this class could be just what you need.
